RIP Steve Jobs and Pixar

RIP Steve Jobs and Pixar

Let us also remember the work Steve Jobs did with Pixar. It was his belief and money that got this phenomenal movie making juggernaut off the ground. There is a movie currently streaming on Netflix called “The Pixar Story”. There are insights and interviews from Steve Jobs RIP himself. The documentary offers a fascinating look into the backstory of Pixar and heavily details Steve’s early involvement in the company. Until the time of his death Steve Jobs was an advisor and sat on the board of Pixar. He offered the company creativity and vision at a time when it was unsure if Pixar would ever succeed. Ultimately, Pixar proved everyone wrong and became one of the most successful animation studios of all time. It was more than Steve’s money which helped Pixar. Steve Jobs RIP was a visionary and genius when it came to managing technology innovation. He pushed the people around him to be their very best.

After Steve Jobs Death

Pixar’s John Lasseter and Ed Catmull said:

“Steve Jobs was an extraordinary visionary, our very dear friend and the guiding light of the Pixar family. He saw the  potential of what Pixar could be before the rest of us, and beyond what anyone ever imagined.”

“Steve took a chance on us and believed in our crazy dream of making computer animated films; the one thing he always said was to simply ‘make it great.’ He is why Pixar turned out the way we did and his strength, integrity and love of life has made us all better people,” the statement continued. “He will forever be a part of Pixar’s DNA. Our hearts go out to his wife Laurene and their children during this incredibly difficult time.”

Steve Jobs once said of Pixar:

“the most powerful and trusted brand in animation.”

Pixar is an animation studio which has produced incredible movies such as Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3, Finding Nemo, and Wall-E. Wikipedia claims:

All the films produced by Pixar are among the fifty highest grossing animated films of all timeFinding NemoUp and Toy Story 3 made it to the top 50 list of highest-grossing films of all time, with Toy Story 3 at #7, Finding Nemo at #25, and Up at #43.

RIP Steve Jobs

RIP Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs passed away October 5th 2011. He was 56 years old. Steve Jobs died from Pancreatic Cancer, an illness he was battling since 2004.

About Steve Jobs RIP

Steve Jobs was a visionary, a leader, and an innovator. Jobs revolutionized the development of the personal computer, the iPod, and iPhone. Jobs co-founded Apple in 1976 with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Steve Jobs acted as CEO of Apple until several short weeks before his death (RIP Steve Jobs) and a hiatus in the 1990′s. Under his tutelage Apple developed many milestone products including the Macintosh, the Apple I, Apple II, Apple III, iBook, iMac, and Powerbook.

Steve Jobs changed the world’s technological landscape when he introduced the iPod in 2001. The iPod soon became the de-facto music player around the world. To date the iPod accounts for 70% of the world’s digital music players. 220 million iPods have been sold.

In 2007 Jobs introduced the iPhone and changed mobile devices and smartphones forever. The iPhone is a multitouch cellular device and features an app store infrastructure. Steve Jobs played an integral role in the development of the iPhone, which seamlessly connects to the internet, renders web pages, plays games, and so much more. In 2011 the iPhone accounted for nearly 50% of Apple’s sales.

RIP Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs always envisioned the iPhone’s iOS functioning on a tablet computer. Jobs made this dream a reality when he introduced the iPad in 2010. The iPad has since sold 15 million units and completely dominates the tablet market.

Before Steve Jobs Death

Steve Jobs gave an incredible commencement speech at Stanford. The speech offers an incredible glimpse at an extraordinary man’s approach to life lived.

The planet almost never encounters the genius of a man who affects the world as great as Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs accomplishments will be felt by our entire generation and for generations to come.

In the words of RIP Steve Jobs

No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
